Now, more than ever, is the time to take extra care to protect yourself and your family. Our office is open for new and existing patients. We encourage you to use good judgement and stay home unless it is truly necessary to go out. At our office, we are taking all necessary precautions with your health and safety in mind. We are now offering telehealth visits when appropriate. You will need a smartphone or a computer for this. Not all visits can be done virtually. If you do need to come into the office, please read below to see what we are doing to protect you.
Limiting seating and time spent in our waiting room
Disinfecting after every patient AND hourly, including but not limited to all high touch surfaces in our waiting room, bathrooms, patient rooms, nursing stations, and all staff stations
Splitting the day between well and sick visits to limit contact with sick patients (see the bottom of our website or our Facebook page for updated hours)
Cleaning the entire office between well and sick visit times
All staff using PPE (personal protective equipment) and following proper hand washing and sanitizing procedures in accordance with CDC guidelines
Dedicating certain exam rooms to potential Covid 19 cases
Patients with Covid 19 symptoms are being asked to wait in the car instead of the waiting room
If you think you have been exposed to the novel coronavirus, or if you are exhibiting symptoms and would like to be tested, please call us and we can advise you of the proper steps to take. Please note that at this time in the United States, only high risk/hospitalized patients are being tested. That may change in the future.
If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to call us! We pledge to continue to serve our community during these uncertain times.
Wishing you continued good health,
Dr. Jeffrey Merkle
